Ripped From His Family

No One Hears.

Fraud, abuse and neglect of disabled adults is not reported.

The Result:

Disabled adults are forgotten, abused, and neglected.

No one to speaks for them

The silence is deafening.

Washoe County, Nevada:

Casey is 24 with the mindset of a 9-year old child. He was sentenced to Creative Possibilities of Northern Nevada in October 2019

What Happened:

A 5-minute hearing destroyed his life

No one helped him. His attorney was a prop

Now:

No family visitations

No pictures – abuse is too obvious

Monitored phone calls

He is a commodity:

He gets sick – so what?

Feed him raw meat

It’s a waste of money to take him to the doctor!

Extreme weight loss

So what if he can’t sleep!

Dirty…

He doesn’t need a winter coat!

The facts:

Crystal Ninete, the Service Coordinator, did nothing for him.

Attorney fed him to the wolves.

The Public Guardian, Tracey Bowles, another prop.

She told Casey’s mom she was tired of hearing about Casey

Collusion:

The case manager, Steven Hockenberry – a good friend of the group home director, Patience Aiyuk. Complaints AGAINST the group home do not exist

No Justice:

Steven Hockenberry – a case manager and not an investigator – did the investigations for the court. Fraudulent and inaccurate information was was evidence for the hearing. Sounds right.

Judge Egan Walker decided Casey’s fate before the hearing – what justice?

Casey is a Protected Person. So what?

No due process for Casey or his mother. So?

Casey is abused, isolated from his family, and neglected. Who cares?

The screams of his mother – no one hears them. Big deal!

The silence is deafening.
