“The Price of Care: Taken by the State”

“This five-episode documentary-series is a compilation of two years of extensive investigative work. It is the second season of the “Price of Care” ongoing investigation into conservatorships.

While our first season focused on general conservatorships of the elderly, this season will focus entirely on limited conservatorships for Californians with disabilities.

Our investigation digs into the complex governmental and legal system behind limited conservatorships – and the state agency failing the people it has promised to protect. A deeply broken system hurting people with disabilities and their families – and it’s funded by our taxpayer dollars.”

California – Nevada – how many other states hurting people with disabilities – horribly – under the guise of a ‘legal’ conservatorship – or guardianship – overseen by a state agency.

And we, the taxpayers, are helping the state brutalize and isolate these disabled individuals.

People with no voice imprisoned like Casey and isolated from their families.

Yes. The PRISON and state ‘say’ the ‘wards’ have legal representation. The representation provided serves the state and not the ward.

Senator Schaefer – found dead with her husband in a murder/suicide. Really?

Shortly after exposing this travesty in 2010.

Children + Casey and those like him + Elderly = Federally funded state run organized crime. Not just in Nevada.

“The Price of Care: Taken by the State”

‘Taken’ defined is ‘remove (someone or something) from a particular place’. While the state ‘says’ it is to the benefit of the individual taken it isn’t.

Those who get paid – yeah PAID – benefit.

Paid for an individual, providing just enough care to keep the person alive – so the money will continue to come in.
