They Do Not Care

They Do Not Care

They. Do. Not. Care.

I watched a movie a few nights ago.

Change of Plans. It starred Brooke White and Joe Flanigan.

It was about a young married couple who ‘inherited’ 4 children.

Brooke White played the wife whose long-time friend named as the guardian of her children should anything happen to her.

The friend and her husband died in a plane crash, so Brooke’s character and her husband found themselves instant parents of four children.

They lived in Ohio. Phylicia Rashād played the role of the case worker from the Ohio Center of Family Protection.

One of her lines stuck with me ‘…Family Services has stringent guidelines on guardianship and foster care. We take our responsibilities very seriously.’

Then, later on in the movie ‘…Can you appreciate how sincerely our department considers the welfare of children, because nothing else really matters, you know.’

Yes – again – children.

The point is how concern of a state agency is displayed in this move.

THAT tells everyone this is fiction – because that is not the case in Nevada.

THEY. DO. NOT. CARE.

For YOUNG Disabled adults sentenced to group homes.

You call the Adult Protective Services. They contact the prison and chew them out over the phone.

THAT. IS. IT.

No investigation. No removal of the victim from the home – excuse me – prison.

Creative Possibilities of Northern Nevada – the prison – is worse than a prison.

A Concentration Camp

It is more like a concentration camp. A place where members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution.

America fought in WWII to prevent this from happening. Is Reno, Nevada no longer in the United States? Did the United States fight in WWII for ALL or just for those who have the money and clout to fight against this kind of atrocity?

What happened?
